The article properly refers to the person by their given name, Girma, and not as Wolde-Giorgis. Girma Wolde-Giorgis (Ge'ez: ግርማ ወልደ ጊዮርጊስ; 28 December 1924 – 15 December 2018) was an Ethiopian politician who was the 3rd President of Ethiopia from 2001 to 2013. He was the second person to hold the office of President since the founding of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in 1995.
