Object description
The 30-metre concrete bust of Ferdinand Marcos was a monument of President Ferdinand Marcos situated along Aspiras-Palispis Highway, Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet, Philippines. The monument became a subject of controversy as its construction displaced indigenous Ibaloi residents in the sparsely populated area, and the land reportedly forced to be sold at very low prices. The monument was destroyed in December 2002, with the Communist Party of the Philippines-New Peoples Army taking credit for its destruction.
