Tell Maon was a biblical town in the Hebron Hills, formerly known simply as Maon , rising 863 metres above sea level. The town, now a ruin, is mentioned in Joshua 15:55 and in 1 Samuel 25:2, and is located about 6 kilometres southeast of Yatta.
