Object description
Ushiro-Futago Kofun is a Kofun period keyhole-shaped burial mound located in what is now the city of Maebachi, Gunma Prefecture in the northern Kantō region of Japan. Together with the Sho-Futago Kofun , it was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1927.The site dates from them late 6th century, and these tumuli are two of the five in the Ōmuro kofun cluster. The area is now preserved as a park.
