The national anthem of the Czech Republic is called "Kde domov můj" (Where is my home?). It was written by the composer František Škroup in 1834, with lyrics by Josef Kajetán Tyl. The song was originally written as a part of a patriotic play, and it quickly became popular as an unofficial anthem of the Czech people.

After the Czechoslovak Republic was founded in 1918, "Kde domov můj" was adopted as the country's national anthem, and it continued to be used as the anthem of the Czech Republic after Czechoslovakia split into two separate countries in 1993. The anthem is a powerful expression of national pride and the longing for freedom, and it is often played at important state occasions and sporting events in the Czech Republic.
