In this Chinese name, the family name is Wee. Wee Chong Jin DUBC (28 September 1917 – 5 June 2005) was a Singaporean judge. He was appointed by former President of Singapore, Yusof Ishak as the first Chief Justice of Singapore. Born in Penang, Malaysia, he was the first Asian lawyer to be appointed a judge at the Supreme Court of Singapore. He served in the position of Chief Justice for 27 years, making him the longest-serving chief justice in the Commonwealth.
