The Hôtel Tassel is a townhouse in Brussels, Belgium, designed by Victor Horta for the Belgian scientist and professor Emile Tassel and built from 1892–93. It is generally considered the first true Art Nouveau building, because of its highly innovative plan and its groundbreaking use of materials and decoration. It is located at 6, rue Paul-Emile Janson/Paul-Emile Jansonstraat.
