Object description

The Misericórdia Hospital and Church is a 17th-century Roman Catholic church and orphanage located in São Cristóvão, Sergipe, Brazil. It is built in the Baroque style and occupies 3,976 square metres at the east of São Francisco Square. The facility was listed as a historic structure by National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage in 1944. The facility is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of São Francisco Square in the Town of São Cristóvão.
